A separate dated 2025 bond-list letterhead uses “401 Purcell Avenue,” gives 806-323-5324, and identifies Shannon Woodrum as jail administrator. Because the current sheriff page and dated letter use different phone endings, begin with the current public sheriff-page number. The dated number can be mentioned when reconciling a record, but it should not displace the primary contact.
Hemphill Jail Release Fields
Kologik's data model includes identity, booking, charge, bond, and release properties. It exposes arrest ID, CCN, name fields, booking and arrest times, arresting agency, days in jail, charge data, bond, warrant, comments, and release date and time. Sampled current records had blank release and projected-release values. Their presence in the software does not create a past-release archive.

A court record is useful corroboration. The court order explains authority, but the HCSO record gives the physical-exit time.
Hemphill Jail Has No Release Feed
No official Hemphill 24-hour, 72-hour, five-day, or ten-day release history was found. Kologik's general product supports some history modes, but Hemphill's agency setting returns “N.” The roster's “RECENT” control refers to recent current custody, not recently released people. No published cadence or post-release retention promise exists.
For a time window, request records whose release timestamp falls between exact start and end times. Ask whether HCSO used booking-release time, data-entry time, or court-order time. Never infer a release list by comparing saved current rosters. A vanished entry might reflect a transfer, correction, or lag.

Hemphill Jail Booking Photos
Hemphill's vendor settings do not hide photographs on current booking records. That makes the live official roster the strongest online photo source while a person remains listed. It does not promise that the image will remain accessible after release. A photo documents the booking shown and does not establish guilt, a case outcome, or release.
After the record drops from current view, request the booking photograph with the booking sheet and release record. Active-case, juvenile, sealed, expunged, privacy, security, or other legal exceptions may affect production. Ask for any nonexempt portion instead of assuming the whole file must be supplied.
Hemphill Jail Renovation Context
A dated February 2024 weather report, quoting the jail administrator during the Smokehouse Creek fire, said the jail was vacant while renovations were underway. The later official live roster shows active custody records. These sources describe different times. The older story must not be treated as current proof that the jail is closed or that all detainees were released.
A historical Texas Commission on Jail Standards report listed an 18-person rated capacity and average daily population of six for its 2019-20 measurement period. Those figures are not a current count and do not establish annual releases. Current operating status, population, and release information must come from HCSO with the date of the check clearly stated.
After a Hemphill Jail Transfer
No adult state prison, federal prison, or ICE detention center was identified within Hemphill County. If the HCSO record names TDCJ, search the statewide system after allowing for intake lag and match the county, court, offense, sentence, and age. Projected, scheduled, eligible, approved, actual release, and discharge are different status terms.
For BOP, “Released” or “Not in BOP Custody” confirms only exit from BOP. For ICE, the locator has exclusions and a limited released-person tail. A federal writ or detainer can create a handoff rather than freedom. Follow the named agency and keep each conclusion limited to that agency's custody.
